Hello! I have had the pleasure of working and volunteering in the field of mental health since 2006.
As a helping professional, I approach counselling from a Person Centered and Strength Based perspective, with a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy foundation, while also bringing in other approaches including, but not limited to, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Art based activities, EMDR, and trauma informed practices.
The counselling process is a journey that I feel honored to be part of with all my clients. This journey can be challenging at times so my goal is to create a safe, honest, trusting, and supportive environment where one can experience the sense of being seen and heard.
Mental health is important for everyone, so in my downtime I enjoy engaging my creative side through arts and crafts, and attending dance classes and violin lessons. I have a dog who keeps me on my toes, and I enjoy taking her for walks with my significant other.
I look forward to having the opportunity to meet and work with you.

Welcome and thank you for taking the time to view my profile! I am deeply honoured that you are considering beginning (or continuing) your counselling journey with me. As a Registered Provisional Psychologist, I aim to create a warm and welcoming space where we can come together as a team to explore any challenges you may be experiencing.
I am passionate about supporting children (ages 5+), adolescents, and adults working through stress, anxiety, depression, grief, overwhelming emotions, and relationship challenges.
I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to counselling, as everyone’s life experiences are unique and so too are their counselling needs. I take an integrative approach and draw from a multitude of counselling modalities to best fit your needs as a client.
The modalities that I draw upon include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), emotionally focused therapy (EFT), mindful self-compassion, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy (SFT), narrative therapy (NT), and synergetic play therapy (SPT).
With your goals in mind, we can explore techniques individually tailored to you, reflect on what has helped you get to this point in your journey, and consider how these strengths can help you moving forward.
I value the importance of self-care, for clients and myself, so I am mindful to engage in activities that refill my cup. I re-energize by connecting with nature through kayaking, hiking in the mountains with my partner, and tending to my numerous houseplants. I also enjoy reading, watching movies, connecting with my Métis culture, and spending quality time with friends and family.
I look forward to having the opportunity to connect and work together!

Hello, I am Vicki Juneau and I am a Registered Psychologist with a graduate degree from the University of Victoria. I have been in the mental health-counselling profession since 2000 with experience in working with a range of mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, addictions, eating disorders, grief and loss, in addition to, trauma related stress and PTSD. When working with clients I utilize a strength-based person-centered approach, while incorporating a neurobiological and attachment focused framework. It is important to me that clients feel a sense of comfort and trust and the “just right” amount of challenge when working to meet their goals. I believe it is important to respond to emotional stress from a mind-body perspective to achieve personal well-being and potential.
I have extensive experience working with issues related to trauma (single incident and developmental), abuse and neglect. I am trained in advanced EMDR practices, attachment focused therapies and Mindful Based Cognitive Therapy. When working with couples, I utilize The Gottman Method to Couples Therapy, and The Emotionally Focused Therapy in understanding relationships and relational conflict.
I am a 200hr certified yoga teacher in Integrative Yoga Therapy. This training assists me in facilitating strategies that incorporate mindful movement and postural awareness with the ability to sooth and comfort internal distress. In partnership together, we will aim to discover solutions to help restore your emotional and mental balance.

Hello, my name is Suzanne.
Finding the right therapist is like finding the right pair of shoes…one size doesn’t fit all. When you find the right fit you feel comfortable, sturdy, strong and supported. You know they will aid you on your journey.
My therapeutic style is very organic and client centred. I will provide a safe space for your story to be heard; and I will offer perspective and guidance in order to help you to heal, grow and evolve into the best version of yourself. I truly believe that everyone has all of the answers they need within them. Sometimes people cannot see, feel, hear or realize what is right in front of them. I will help you to see and feel things more clearly by asking different questions, important ones. Together we can change the patterns of your past that are holding you back. When we know and understand things from a different perspective, it enables us to perceive things in a different light and become unstuck.
I will help empower you to achieve happiness, self love, mental/emotional/physical/spiritual awareness and trust in yourself.
In my career, I have worn many different hats. I have worked for Child Protection Services in an array of towns, cities and First Nations communities.
I have also worked for Woods Homes here in Lethbridge connecting families and supporting homeless youth. I spent 6 years as a therapist on both the children’s and adult mental health teams in Lethbridge and Taber.
I also have several years of experience working for a Southern Alberta adoption agency doing birth parent counselling, adoption home assessments and placements. I have made my home in private practice at Associates Counselling Services since 2006.
I am a mother of two school aged children and I live an active and healthy lifestyle.

Welcome and thank you for taking the time to view the Associates Counselling website! I am a Registered Psychologist whose primary interest is peak performance, whether that be in sport, performance, business or life. I firmly believe that “every path has its puddle” and that it is normal to encounter challenges and difficulties as we attempt to live our best lives possible. What we learn from our challenges and how we move forward as a result of these challenges is key to my approach to working with clients. As an unbiased and collaborative practitioner, I use therapeutic techniques primarily from cognitive behavioural and solution focused therapies to help clients “navigate the waters” of their puddles.
I have two grown children who continue to keep my life interesting as they “navigate their waters”. I have been a member of the Runners Soul Marathon Club for a number of years. I love to trail run in the coulees and spend time walking with my husband and Golden Retrievers.
